It’s been such a lively month here, and we wanted to take a moment to share what’s been going on around the houses!
We kicked the season off with the start of the Special Olympics season! As of August, several of our core members are competing in bowling. Everyone’s been out on the lanes building up their skills, and the energy has been fantastic. We couldn’t be prouder of our athletes and can’t wait to cheer them on as the season continues.
Now that fall is in full swing, we’re also getting ready for Community Nights. In October, our chili cook-off and costume parade will be happening together for one fun-filled evening on Wednesday, October 28. You can join us a 4pm that day for our trunk-or-treat, a new event — think decorated cars, candy, and plenty of festive cheer. Then those who want to compete will bring their best pot of chili to the table at 5pm, all competing for bragging rights. Last year, Ananda took home the title, and the other houses have been working hard to bring it back this time around. Add in a costume parade, and it’s shaping up to be a night full of community spirit and friendly competition.

On top of all the fall festivities, we also want to share some wonderful news: we recently had a licensing visit, and it went beautifully! A huge shoutout to the Ananda team for the fantastic job they did handling the visit, and a special thank-you to Michelle, who did such a great job fielding questions from the licensor. This is such a meaningful milestone, and it’s a true reflection of the hard work, care, and dedication that goes into the houses every single day. We’re so proud of everyone and so grateful for the effort that makes this such a special place to live.
As always, thank you for being part of this community and for making these moments so memorable. Here’s to more good times, good food, and good company ahead!
