Emma Moody, Assistant
by Harper Smith, Hopespring House Leader

At Hopespring House, Emma is the newest member to the team, but she’s well on her way to becoming a core member (and assistant) favorite!
Ask anyone in the house and they’ll tell you Emma brings a lot more than her amazing organizational skills to the table. She’s the one you can always count on for a cheerful smile, even on the busiest days. Need something new to watch for movie night? Emma’s already got a recommendation ready to go. Need a laugh? She’s got a joke waiting in the wings. Her warmth and easygoing energy have a way of making everyone feel a little lighter. In the midst of the chaos we live and thrive in, Emma is a breath of fresh air.
And then there’s the baking. Emma has become the house’s unofficial resident baker, and the kitchen has never smelled better since she joined. Case in point: she recently whipped up a batch of homemade pumpkin spice syrup for everyone, and it was an absolute hit — we may or may not still be thinking about it!
Cheerful, funny, endlessly kind, and a fantastic baker to boot, Emma helps cultivate the environment we strive for at LTH: cheerful, welcoming, and balancing.
Shannon Dell, Farmhouse
by Charice Bright, Care Coordinator

When you walk into Farmhouse, you’ll usually be greeted by Les, Doug, Nancy, and even Leana (if she’s up and about) but if you blink, you could miss Shannon, sitting in her corner, reading her Charlie Brown books, or smiling to herself.
A woman of simplicity, Shannon is one who is pleased with a bomp on the head and a bit of company. Over the years, Shannon has brought so much joy with her hugs, comedic timing, and shifty laughter. Shannon is the epitome of politeness. Even when she is having a hard time, “no panks” can be heard while you’re being dismissed.
Although aging has made life a little harder lately, she has made such an impact on all who have met her. She teaches everyone to slow down, to enjoy the simple things in life, that it’s ok to have boundaries, and to make sure you have pudding WITH graham crackers.
Affectionately referred to as “Peanut” because of her love of Charlie Brown, she a feisty no-nonsense lady who has so much love and compassion to bring. If anyone needs a hug, Shannon is ready for one. I’m sure we all are grateful to get to know Peanut—I know I for sure am.
