About L’Arche:
L’Arche Tahoma Hope is a nonprofit organization in the South Puget Sound region of WA state. Our focus is in sharing life with people with intellectual disabilities (core members). We have 3 group homes where we provide 24/7 care and support for core members, a Farm where core members work, and a Welcome Center with activities.
Job Brief:
The Vocational Specialist serves as part of the Outreach and Programs team with specific responsibilities within the Group Supported Employment County contract to support Farm Core Members with their goals related to employment, personal growth and development at L’Arche Farm and Gardens. The Vocational Specialist will provide support in the core members’ employment plans, annual reviews, log journals and time management to create meaningful employment for folks. They will do this by finding creative, accessible, adaptable processes or practices to do their farm tasks.
At times the Vocational Specialist will work in the Welcome Center but this role primarily works outside at L’Arche Farm and Gardens. The Vocational Specialist may also be asked to serve on various committees for the community. These can range from planning celebrations, to being part of discernment processes, such as mandates or community council.

Wage:
Starts at $20/hr
