Honeybees and farming go hand in hand! The honeybees provide pollination for the flowers and vegetables we love and need. They also provide beautiful hive products such as honey and bee’s wax for soaps, salves, and candles. Proceeds from the sale of our hives products go back to taking care of the bees and the Farm!
Beekeeping is an ancient practice that helps us understand the importance of relationships. The honeybees remind us of that bond of love that we are to have with each other and all of God’s Creation. The honeybees, like the chickens and all the plants on the Farm, teach us that we are part of one big family. We have a sacred bond of kinship that calls us to care for and to acknowledge the intrinsic value and right to belong that we all hold. Honeybees flourish and find their purpose in the relationships they have with us and the created world.
The “L” in L’Honey, stands for L’Arche, that ark we call Creation, holding us in the love of God, the Creator of us all.
Thanks for being in the ark and for loving and caring for each other.

Keeper of Bees
In our next story we will write about how a honeybee colony gives birth to a new colony of bees!
