FAQ
How many weeks is the share?
10 weeks: July 17 – September 18
How many stems can I expect in my bouquet?
The total count will vary based on what is blooming and what is ready to harvest! Generally, the beginning of flower season has a bit of a slow start, but, as the days lengthen and the ground warms up, our bouquets become more bountiful and varied! We ensure each arrangement is intentionally crafted and still values at $15!
How is the share different from the Roadside Bouquets?
If you buy a flower share you will see a greater variety of stems and an artistic arranging of flowers with 15 or more stems! You will see flowers like: dahlias, sunflowers, stock, lisianthus, foliage, zinnias, cosmos, lots of glorious fillers, bee balm, echinacea, berries, yarrow! The Roadside Bouquets are smaller with 5-8 stems of seasonal blooms. They are a great addition to your share or to grab a quick bouquet for a pal!
Can I come to tour the farm? How else can I get some flowers?
Our farm is open to the public during business hours (CLICK HERE for directions). You are welcome to come shop, walk through the fields and see where the beauties are grown! In addition to the flower share, we sell wholesale to Fernseed and cut small bouquets to sell by the road at our self service Roadside Bouquets. Starting at the end of April, we are at Proctor Farmers’ Market, on Saturdays from 9-2, and we sell blooms there later in the summer.
How long will my flowers last?
We aim to create bouquets that last you from week to week! We cut flowers early in the morning, let them soak in water before arranging them, take off all leaves that are touching the water, and pick flowers that are not fully opened! Once those beauties are in your hands, it helps to refresh the water daily. Cut the stems when you get home before putting them in water, and keep them out of direct sun and heat!
What happens if I am not around to pick up my share?
If you cannot pick up your share, consider asking a friend, co-worker, neighbor or family member to drop by the farm to get your arrangement. We are unable to hold bouquets; we want you to receive the freshest flowers. Either way, please let us know if you will be having a pal pick it up for you or if you will be skipping a week!
Do you do wholesale, special occasions or weddings?
Yes, please email [email protected] for further inquiries!
